ATLANTIC STORM.
American Coast Battered GREEK FREIGHTER SINKS (Received- 15, 8.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 13. A heavy Atlantic coastal storm badly battered North America, damaging shipping, disrupting , communications, and flooding wide areas, the most seri- . ous loss being the { sinking of the Greelc freighter, Tzennychandris, rejeently transferred from American registry. Six of the erew were „rescued and 23 are afloat in open boats or lifebelts off Cape Hateras. Coastguard cutters are sea-rching, but With little hope. Several fishermen's boats in the North Atlantic " made ' harbour with difficulty, but no "loss of life. A yacht was abandoned wrecked off the New Jersey coast, but the passengers were rescued. • Suburban areas of many cities, inciuding New York, and virtually all seaside resorts, reported wrecking of cottages. Gale warnings are still hung ' out widely along the coast. The storm bas not yet blown out.
