Several fishermen's boats in the North Atlantic " made ' harbour with difficulty, but no "loss of life. A yacht was abandoned wrecked off the New Jersey coast, but the passengers were rescued. • Suburban areas of many cities, inciuding New York, and virtually all seaside resorts, reported wrecking of cottages. Gale warnings are still hung ' out widely along the coast. The storm bas not yet blown out.
