State Department officials indicatel that the United States was considering the idea of following Britain's lead in indirectly and unofficially recognising General Franco's Tegime by re-opening the United States conference at Bi!bao. It was announeed to-night that it was being viewed as a "back-door" if not a de jure recognition in view ofjl General Franco's control of Bilbao.
