Good Proftress with New Buildings In a report to the monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board in Napier yosterday, the architects, Messrs Davies and Phillips, dd* tailed the progress made with the new office and store buildings in Hastings. "Tho fittings and fixtures nhroughI out' the ground floor of the offiee are nearing completion and, at an early date, the paihterp and decorators will be able to complete the finishing work of this portion 'of the building," stated the report. "The plasterers are rendering and finishing the walls and ceiliiigS on tho first floor and when this work is siifflcieutly dry, the decorators will follow on and complete the work. "The delayed delivery of the terra cotta f ncings for the f ront of the building under the awnfng, is causing all work of show ofindows and entrance doors to be. held up in.tbe meantime. The terra cotta however, has now arrived in New Zealand and ia expccted to land at an early date. "The contractor has executed the finishing work in a very thofough jsmd workman-like manner, to the architects' entire satisfaction.
