Colourful Display of Blooms ENTRIES A RECORP An abundance of choice and nolourful bloomg adorned the; Taradale Town Hau yesterday when tbe annual rose and general fiower show organised by the Taradale Women 's Ihstitute was Leld. A reeord number of entries tvore recojved and the quality of mfmy of the bloonia was outstancllng. All sections were well supported, e!xcept the sweet peas, due to very fow blooms yet being out. The show was opened by Mr. J. Williamson, "who cqngratulatcd ihe members of the Institue on their. enterprise. and the fine display, which did credit to tho district. The show was largely attonded at b'oth the morning and evening sessions. The champion rose bloom whs n nne gpecimen of McCtfcdy 's Ivory, oxfiibited by Mi.ss E. Martin whp won 'Mrs. T. H. Lowry 's challertge trophy for mogt points in the amatSur s4ction. Mrs. J. N. Lowry 's challenge cup for. most points in the sweet- pea section was won by Miss Pearson.
