WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The usual monthly meeting of the Waipukurau branch of the Plunket Society was held in th© Plunket rooms ijhis afternoon, Mrs H. Hooper presiding over the following:— Jlesdames J.'W. Hhrding, E. Broad, J. H. Walker, I. W. N. Mackie, M. Joblhi, F. R. MeWilliam, C. Pattison, P. Hunter, B. J, McCormick, W. Chambers and the secretary, Miss E, A. Hobson. Apologies were reeeived from Mesdames J. D. Ormond, L. S. P. Bell, G. E. Gideon, j. L. Brathwaite and B. Boys. The Plunket nurse submitted the follo\ying report for the month of October: — Yisits to rooms. — Waipukurau: Adults 117, babieg 97, children" 27, total 241. Takapau: Adults 34, babies 33, children 8, total 75. Porangahau: Adults 3, babies 2. Visits to homes: Waipukurau 43, Takapau 3, Porangahau 6. ?Tew cases: Waipukurau 4. Cases under care: Waipukurau 200, Takapau 62, Porangahau 24, Accounts amounting to £18 1/8 were passed for payment. A lengthy and comprehensive report on the Dqminion Oonferenee held in Wellington recently was submitted by Ihe delegate, Miss Hobson, v.?.io was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mrs J. W. Harding, who is leaving for England early in the New Year, was granted a year's leave of absence. Mrs W, Chambers was appointed visitor to the rooms for the ensuing month. A subseription from Mrs T, Hobson was reeeived with thanks. Meuibcrs expressed pleasure at Miss Hobson's return after her illness, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mrs J. H. Walker, who acted as secretary dpring Miss Hobson's absenco.
