Rebels Admit Liability

In the House of Commons, in an answer regarding the attack by a Spanish insurgent aircraft on the British steamer Jean Weems, Mr Anthony Eden said £hat the Salamanca authorities had nndertaken to express official regret and had given an assurance tJhat orders would be given to their forces tc* take all possible precautions against further incidents of the same nature. They had furthermore agreed so far to liability for the payment of compensation. They had agreed also to submit the case if necessary to arbitration and to abide by the result, '
