REGENT THEATRE
"103 MEN AND A GIRL." 1 Whoever enjoyed Deanna Durbin's first filme "Three Smart Girl3," waa given in it no moro than" a taste or a giimpse . of the .delights that she is capable of putting into one individuai pri-. formance and which form the real substance of "100 Men and a Girl,* screening at the Eegent to-night. She coinbinee the glorious richness of a matured voice with the sweetness of a ehild's, and to that great vocal asset, she adds a pensonality which has as many facets as a cut, diamond and which glitters no less brilliantly. The great inass of people will need nobetter recomniendation to see Deanna D^jrbin - than ■ Deanna herself, but the musical public will note that Leopold Stokowski and his Philadelphia Symphony Orehestra present several num bers, including the Zampa overture aud Hungarian Ehapsody No. 2. And, as gems of hardly lesser lustre, there" is a thoroughly - appealing aiid satisfying piece of human ^cting by Adolphe Menjou and' a bubbling .flow of humour .from Eugene Palette, AJice Brady and Miseha Auen. All these elements are harmoniously blended in the story of a girl's success m iuduciiig the world 's greatest conductor to lead a full symphony orehestra of out-nf-work musicians.
