Social Evening at Waipawa (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIPAWA, Last Night. Last evening' a social gathering organised by tne Waipawa branch of the Nationai Party was held .in the Municipal Concert Hall and ^vas largely attehded, with a. very representative ' attendance of country members. Mr O. G. Harker, chairman of the brancix, presided, with him on the platform being Mr F. Kelly, of Hastings, and* Mr W. ' W. Hainsworth, party organiser. A very intetesting address was given by Mr Kelly, who is a member' of the Dominion Oouncil of the ' National Party, in the . course of "which he dealt comprehensively with the socialistic objective of the' present Government and the trenq'of legislation. Particularly ha str,e?sed the, need , for consolidation' in . the ranks of the National Party, and nf loyhlty to :the Aelected candidates. He ■ wasi accorded a very heiarty vote of •thanks on .the-' motion. of Messrs G« Pattison and A.' L. MalColm. ■ • During • the evening songs were rendered by • Mrs Brathwaite, • and Messrs' E.'* T.
