The Ruataniwha Lodge of Druids held a most enjoyable dance. in the Oddfellows' Hall, Waipawa, last evening, after the conclusion of the psual lodge business. There was a very good atttndance, including a number of repjesentatives of kindred societies. Excellent music for the daneing was provided by Mrs Meta, and the duties of M.C. were carfried out by Bros. Gibson, C. J. Watson and W. C. F. Spargo. The Monte Ca/lo Waltz was won by Mr and Mrs W. M. Murray, and the spot waltz by Bro. Smart and partner. A delightful supper xvas provided by tho social committee, and a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close about midni£tifc. At the conclusion of t'he function Bro. Spargo thanked all those present for their atleudance, and expressed the hope thafc they had expericnced a most enjoyable evening. Ormondville Town Board. - At a meeting of / the Ormondville Town Board, Mr H. J. Newling presided over a full attendance, with the exception of Mr G. S. Chapman, for whom an apology was received. It.was left to the chairman to arrange for the footpaths around the post ofiice to be cleaned up. The clerk to the board was instructed to at.end to hawker:s licences in the district. Accounts amouuting to approximately £,12 were passed for payment. Sitting as the Domain Board, the re-laying of the tennis court was discussed. It was mentioned that a large sui of mbnev had already been .-spent at various times upon the court, it being finally decided that £4o bc allow . towards the construction v.f a conerete court, the work to be done under the supervision, and to the satisfaction of the Domain Board.
