FUNDS RAKED FOR RELIEF OF CHINESE
To raise funds for the relief of distress in China, the V.A.D. committee of the Napier barnch of the New Zealand Red Cross Society organised a very ple(asant? social gathering last evening in the Willard Hall, Napier. Many competitions were held during the evening, .points being given to tyie winner of' each competition,' Mr Duncan Stevenson winning first prize for the most points gained. Community . singing was greatly enjoyed -by everyone, Mr Stevenson accompanied and also played the necessary music for the ^arious games which .followed. Eefreshments wero han^ed ifound, and 'a . deliciOus supper served buffet style was greatly. . appr eeiated by all present. - Tr ea ture hunts andlucky dips caused mueh fun, one and all having a very happy evening. • Misses C.
