CLOSE OF GOLF SEASON
Takapau Club's Ceremony (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAKAPAU, Last Night. The Takapau Golf Club held its closing day in ideal conditioiis. There were a large number of visitrng players from th© surrounding district, and the competitions were much enjoyed. At tbe close of the games Major McDonnell thanked all those who had contributed to a most successful season, and called upon Mrs. McDonnell. to present the trophies which had been won during the season as under : — Men; Championship, T. Hanita; junior championship, L. MacDonald; E. R. White Cup, K. Ask.ew (won outright; Scott Memorial Cup, A. Drake; Williams and Kettle Cup, J. P. O'Dowd; J. P. O'Dowd (Capt. Trophy), . J. A. Grant; Major MacDonnell (president), S. Ropata; closing day trophies, G. S, White and E. ' F. Stubbs. Ladies : Championship Cup, Mrs. W. Hobson; Junior Cup, Miss Craig; Johnston Cup, Miss T. Power; Roll's Cup, Miss P. Cato; L.G.U. junior medal, Miss P. Cato; Mrs. Holden's trophy, Miss A. HoBsdn;" Mrs.' "G. Kelly's trophy, Miss P. Cato ; Mrs. W. Hobson' s (cc^ptain) trophy, Miss P.
