Waipukurau Sale Lifeless POOR CONDITIONED LINES To-day 's offering of Btore cattle at; Waipukurau met with a lifeless sale, Nevertheless . some quite satisfactory saies were made, and any lines showing size and competitiou fouiid an inquiry, The yarding consiste.d of about 1000 head which included some very well-> bred etation lines. The bulk of tho offering was in poor condition and not well grown, having a etarved appear-. ance, and showed evidenee of hard wintering. Buyers had little to select from as far as good order "was coa* cerned. Several lines of heifers. were peuned, the best yearlings realising fa & 2/r- ' . . Some very small grown lines in poor order brought £2 17/6. The yeariing steers were a mixed lot in which the' best entry was a splemdid line on uucount of Atua Station which ehowed both breeding . and size . which were passed at £6 5/-. The two-year steers generally .were in hungry condition and requirod ti seasou's spell. The best line brought. £7 5/-. A late-calving propositioujj although only young cows iu good orderf were slow to trade. Grown bullocks were uot on offer, the only line of older. cattle being a pen of three-year steers in medium order which made £8 18/6. Seven . medium grown mixed-bred vealer heifers, in quite good. ordeit brought to £3 15/-. A pen of small to medium growai Aberdeen Angus cross cows and heifers^ quite well finished aud showing qualityj sold to £10. A small to medium three-year Abern deen Angus steer, in light condition, sold at £9 17/6. * An entry of 14 empty AberdeeK Angus cows in light condition made K good sale at £5 14/% STORE CATTLE , On account of Atua Station, a spleai* ■did draft of 100 well-bred aud well» grown yearling Aberdeen Angus steers^ in good doing condition, having been wintered well, and in healthy hardj} order, sold at £6 7/-. A line of fairly grown yearling Abe®» deen Angus Hereford Cross heifer^ rather uneven in condition, were pass^ ed at the satisfactory figure of £4 2/> In from Porangahau, 34 well grown. clean-bred Aberdeen Angus heifers, in poor condition, having been yery hard wintered, were passed at £3 2/-. On account of Mr. R. Wilder, Waai stead 17 medium grown dehorned Heren ford cross steers, being a mixed lot, were passed at £7 5/-. In from Ngawaka Station 18 small grown clean bred 2-yr. Aberdeen Angui. steers in poor cqndition, being vdry; hard wintered, were sold at £6 16/-. An entry of mixed bred cows, including some Jerseys in light condition, with calves by an Aberdeen Angus bull, being a late calving proposition, weri passed at £6. 1/-. A line of pureily bred medium grown dehorned Hereford 3iyear steers, uneven in quality but in quite fair storq condition, made a good rate at £9. In from Mangaorapa, a line of quiti well-bred small grown yearling Aberdeen Angus heifers, in poor order, brought £2 17/6. ^ In from Wallingford, ten three-year Aberdeen Angus-Hereford cross steers in good store condition, sold * at £8 18/6. * ' ' "
