THEFT OF HORNS

On a charge of stealing two motor horns of a totajl value otf £4 10/-, the property of J. E. Peach and Co., Ltch, OKiles George Swiggs, who pleadoi guilty, "w'as convicted aud released on probation for ono year, when he appeared before Mr_ J. Miller, S.M., in the Hastings Magistrate's Court this morning. An order was made for the return of the property. Detective-Sergeant L. Eevell explained that after the accused had severed his employ ment with Peach, two motor horns liad disappeared and these were later found attached to his father's car.
