"RALPH CONNOR" DIES
Preacher and Novelist ONCE VISITED H.B. (Received 2, 8.46 -a.m.) WINNIPEG, Nov. 1. The death occurred to-day of the Rev. Charles William Gordon, who was better known under the pen-name of Llalph Connor. Born at Glengarry, Ontario, in 1860, Ralph Connor achieved great popularity
with his many books, principally "The Sky Pilot," "The Man From Glengarry," "Glengarry Days" and "The Pilot of Swan Creek." He visited Hawke's Bay about three years. ago and delivered a sermon at St. Paul's Church, Napier.
