White Rajah's. Daughter THREAT OF DIS1NHERITANCE (Eeceived 2, 8.45 a.m.) . ' LONDON, Nov. 1. "I have always heen a figbtor, and this is only another fight. I am not pinned down yet," said Bob Gregory, aged 25 the middleweight catch-as-catch-can champion of Europe, and all* in wrestler, when declaring his deter* mination to marry Mise Valarie Brooko, the 21-year*old daughter of the Eajah of Sarawak, despite parental opposition. "Both the Kanee and Eajah are opposed to the wedding. The Eajah cablod intimating that he would disinherit his daughter if she disobeys his wishes," said a member of "tbe Eanee's house* hold. The connection of the Brooke family with Sarawak dates back to 1839. Jamcs Brooke, a British administrator who had eerved in the army of the East India Co., after dnheriting a fortuno went to Borneo, where he assisted the Sultan to quell a serious rebellion. As a r 6 ward he was given Sarawak to govern and was made its rajah. The British Government made him- Governor of Labuan and Consiil-General for Borneo. In 1847 he was knighted. He died at Burrator, his Devonshire homet in 1868. He was succeeded as rajah by his nephew, Charles Johneon Brooke (1829* 1917), and the third rajah was tlio latter's son, Charles Yyner Brooke, who was knighted in 1927. Princess Baba is the present rajah's daughter. Another daughter of the Eajah of SaTawak was married at a London registry office some time ago to the famous dance-band leadef, Eoy Fox. The Eanee of Sarawak is a daughter of the lato Lord Esher, who was prominent at the Court of Queen Victoria. \ WKmmmmmmmmummmmmmammmm mmrnmmm
