On one of his delightful impulses, Buchanan secures a position at the wealthy New York household where ''Eccles'*, is butler, What a furoye Buchanan causes below— and above— stairs. The maids nll go tittery, the cook yearns for romance, while "Hilda" (Fay Wray) finda much to speculat© upon in tho person of the handsorae new footman, ComplicatiQns come swiftly. The aristocrat's beastly brother— obviously a bounder — arrives pn the scene, seeking not the errant Buchanan, but the hand of the fair Hilda. Whereupon action follows, with all the ' ingredients of comedy-romance skilfully treated to lead up to the dramatie finale. Proposing to Hilda between the lirst and third courses as he waits at table, Buchanan suddenly releases the bombshell of his identity, claims tho willing niece and takes the place of the ousted brother at the festivq board.
