AUCKLAND, Last Night. On the arrival of the Niagara jrom Sydney this morning a youth agea 1 was handed to the police on a chargeof stowing away. L'ater Mr. Wyvern Wilson remanded him to appear in the Ohildren's Court on Friday. The youth *asked the magistrate if it would be possible for him to remain in New Zealand to seek a position. The police said that, according to the youth's statement, his parents reside at Vancouver. He had unsuccessfully tried to persuade the captain to permit him work on the ship to that port.. The magistrate asked the police to make further inquiries in Australia.
