PORANGAHAU, Last Night. The Mangaorapa Golf Club held its closing day on Saturday afternoon. The weather was good and there was a large nluster oi members and visitors. A mixed foursome was played, the winners being Mrs Wilson and A. Douglas. The ladies' medal round was won by Miss June Davidson, and in the gross score Mrs Wilson and Mrs Douglas halved. The long drive was won by Mrs Basil White, and fhe approach and putt by hlrs Hope. The men's medal round was won by Keitli Davidson, the gross score and long drive by R. H. Stoddart and the approach and putt by T. Kuru. At the conclusion of afternoon tea Mr Tlope, the president, welcomed the visitors, and bxpressed pleasure at the successfui season that had just passcd, He trusted the next oue would be equally as good. Mr Douglas, replying on behalf of the visitors, thanked' the club for the enjoyable day. Mrs Stoddart presented the trophies wo_i durizig the season ast under: — Ladies: L.G.U. Meda^ Mrs Hope; Otama Cup, Mrs J. D. Davidson ; Mr J. O'Reilly's trophy, Mrs Mackenzie; poinis prize, Mrs Maroney; eclectic trophy, Mrs Hope and Miss J. Redward. Men; Otama Cup, R. H. Stoddart. Mr J. CReilly's trophy, R. H. Stoddart. Poiuts prize, R. H. Stoddart. Eclectic trophy, J. D. Davidson.
