Waipukurau Club 's Closing Day

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The Waipukurau Golf Club was t'avoured with ideal weather for their closing day. The Canadian foursome which had been arranged attracted a largo number of players, including visitors from all the surrounding clubs. At the conclusion of the aftornoon's play, the president, Mr A. M. Johnstoxie, said it was a pleasure to see so many present. He said that the ' seasou had beeh. a most successfui one, and 'the players, "through out had sliown a spirit of good fellows'hip. He thankea all who„ had made the season such a tsuccessj" those who had given their loyal support to both the men's and the ladies' tournaments, the donors of trophies; and the club staft", for keeping the- greens in * such perf ect order throughout the season. Mr Johnstone then (jdlled upon Miss Johnstone, president N oi the Ladies' Club, to present the trophies won during the season. They were as under: — Men: Championship, E. Billington; runner-up, G.
