Mr Richard James Summers died ifi thev Palmerston North public hospital on Saturday. He came to New Zealand some thirty years ago and served with the New Zealand Engineer s in France f o two and a half years. He took a leading part in afi'airs of the Labour Party after the war and was the founder of the Terrace End branch of the party.
