MR. RICHARD JAMES SUMMERS
Mr Richard James Summers died ifi thev Palmerston North public hospital on Saturday. He came to New Zealand some thirty years ago and served with the New Zealand Engineer s in France f o two and a half years. He took a leading part in afi'airs of the Labour Party after the war and was the founder of the Terrace End branch of the party. Among wreaths received on his grave yesterday was one from tlie Prime Minister, Mr M, J. Savage. A large number of Eeturned Soldiers. were present, and each dropped a red poppy on the casketi ■
