Why Not Shows in the Evening
Sirt — I notice that various other show: societies in New Zealand are giving consideration to the question of coni tinuing the ahnual festival in the even-t ings. ■ One of . these societies is at Masterton, where the showgrounds ar* about the same distance from town ai the Hastings grounds. I noticed by; newspaper Teports that the Power Board in that s area was co-operating in the matter of lighting, and I imagine from the reports that there is. a reasonable prospect of the suggestion coming toi fruition. There may be serious obstacles that f cannot foresee, but I think the Hawke'» Bay A. and P. committee should *t least exploit the possibility of night shows here. . Ao . an exhibitor I would be glad toi pay for a share of the lighting not only at any stand but something extra as well for the general lighting/ I hope that others, with perhaps mora practical minds than mine, will take this matter up. — Yours, etc., ' EXHIBrroIL Hastings/ Oct. 28, 1937. ;
