Maori Land Development.
There are now 150 men engaged on the Maori land development scheme at Tauranga. Work is proceeding on the Ngapeke, Papamoa and other blocks. Gangs are engaged in cJearing and grubbing, draining and fencing. and ploughing operations will begin at an early date. Four houses are now being built and cattle and sheep are en route from the East Coast to go on to the blocks to help in clearing up the country.
