m m » The result of the police examinations held in Napier and Hastings in September last are' as follow: — - Constable S. J. Lush, passed the law portion of sub-inspeetor's examinar tion. Detective k. W. Mills, passed the examination qualifying him , for the rank of sergeant. Tliis examination has also been passed by Constable R. T. Bradley and Constable C. P. Foote, Hastings. Constable j. R. Williamson, Port Ahuriri, has passed the law portion of- the sergeant' s examination, while Constable E. C. T-. Broadly, of Hastings, has passed the literary portion of the sub-inspector's examination.
