The section for the'. vegetables and fruit industry wished to' draw the attention of governments. to the great importance of good prerefrigeration for the preservation of fruit and vegetables, in order to induce the authorities to co-operato iu establishment of first-class installations in all centres of production. Facilitieswere also demanded for the transpor.tation of vegetables and fruit in airtight wagons at national frontiers. Standardigation of packing in transportation of fresh vegetables and fruit' waa advocated.
