Tkree years ago India was respresented by only ono Trade Commissioner abroad. He was stationed in London. At present tliere are four-Indian Trade Commissioners, in London, Hainburg and Milan, and one at Osaka, appointed in December last. The Government of India has now accepted a proposal to appoint a non-official as Trade Commissioner at Mombasa, in East Africa. According to a Simla repoTt, there is also a possibility of furtker appofntments to AJexandria, in Egypt; Durbau, in Soutli Africa, and New York.
