Summer and camping-time is arriw> ing, and some of you will be.wanting to go in for your Cook's Badge, so here are the things that you will have to do for it. 1. Make a camp kitchen with open fire aud other necessaries, and prepare therein the following dishes: Stew, roast meat, vegetables, scrambled eggs, milk pudding, stewed fruit, or any other dishes the examiner may think equivalent, Make tea, coffee, cocoa, and«a *'damper'* or *( twist.' * 2. Know how to store provision* in a hygienic manner and bring proof that he has cooked satisfactorily for a patrol or troop in camp for not less than one complete day. So you will see that there is quite a lot to do for this very useful badge. "BIG SMOKE."
