Regular Services Held.
. Regular services are now held at ten different points in the parish, some of which- take place in private residences lcindly made available by different settlers. The following are the present officers cf the church:— Vicar 's warden, Sir Andrew Russell (Tunanui); peoples' warden, Mr H. F. Beamish (Whanawhana); synodsman, Mr C. E. Nelson Smith (Olrig); vestry, Messrs J. H. Absolom (Rissington), H. Gascoyne (Maraekakaho), J. R. Hunter (Sherenden), J. N. Lowry (Oreka), J. Paton (Otamauri)," W. Turner (Puketitiri), J. White (Omarunui), and C. E. NelsonSmith. Among those who have held office since the inception of the parish are the following: — Sir Andrew and Lady Russell, Mr and Mrs K. Kinross White, Mrs J. White, Mi«s G. Spencer, Messrs G. R. Beamish, Harold Kay, A. V. S. Reed, T." Norris, J. H. Absolom, II. Sheild, A. S. Jenkins, G. Howse, T. H. Lowry, J. N. Lowry, W. Hildreth, E. J. Orr, D. Bruce, A. M. McNeil, E. Haydon, R. Ensor, H. Gascoyne, W. Turner, P. Drummond, G. Howse, 'J. Bicknell, H. G. Ballantyne, M. P. Rosvail, J. Swinburn, H; A. Coleman, C. E. Nelson Smith and W. Aitchison. The furnishings in the church include the beautiful White Memorial orgau, the gift of Mr and Mrs W. Kinross White, of Omarunui, in memory of their son, Adrian, a promising air pilot who last his life while flying in England. St. Michael and All Angels has achieved ' a record of spiritual endoavour, being a worthy example to those to whom it will be the torch of spiritual guidance.
