Outright Wins for United and West End

F1RST SERIES COMPLETED Two outright wins were recorded in the mid-week crioket competition in Hastings yesterday afternoop. when the first series of matches were completed. Conditions were good though the playing areas .were on the heavy side, owing to rains earlier in the week. West End secured four championship points in their game against Heretaunga as the result of an outright win by 29 runa, while in the other game United enjoyed an easy win over Methodist by five wickets, Details of the - games are as follows : UNITED v. On the opening day United established a lead oi; 41 runa on the first innings and yesterday Methodist made 93 in their second innings, United making the required runs for the loss of five wickets.
