RANGITIKEI EVENT

To-morrow's Possible Favourites
(Special from
Excellent fields are carded for the spring fixture of the Rangitikei Racing Club at Bulls to-morrow, and even with the anticipated withdrawals there will be plenty of runners, so the racing wjll be very interesting. The old betting system will be in use and the track, hard last week, has eased up after the rain. The principal event to-morrow is the McKelvie Memorial Haudicap, and the class is quite good. Hazoor is racing better now than earlier, although it is problematical if he will ever get back to his best. Pukeko is again nicely placed and his turn should be at hand once more. Reipar showed to a/dvantage at Waverley and in being beaten by Friesland was far from being disgraced, for the latter is a great galloper when caught right, and he wa® certainly in the mood last Monday. Jubilee Song has run his best races on this course and on thie alone he will have to be considered. Taillight was a great hack last season and if he could only get back to winter form he would be very hard to dispose of, especially as he has a nice weight. Grand Jury is a place possibility, and interest will be fixed upon Chat, who is a good sticker and may surprise. However, the issue appears to lie between Pukeko and Reipar. Horses that will show up to-morrow are: — 12.30.— TRIAL STAKES: Havana Princess, Captain Treville, Laughing Ohief. 1.15.— SANDON HURDLES: Patagonia, Round Score, Even Money. 2.0. — OHAKEA HACK: Hunting Spy, Aureus, Dawning Light. 2.45. — McKELVIE -MEMORIAL: Pukeko, Reipar, Taillight. 3.30.— RANGITOTO HACK: Buster Brown, Hunting QueCn, Malibu. 4.15.— CLIFTON HANDICAP; Greeawich, Airing, The Buzzer. 5.O.— FAREWELL HACK: Corroboree, Money Raid, Son and Heir.
