WAIPUKUEAU, Uast JNignt. The young people of the Salvation Army ? celebrated their anniversary last Sunday, linalising their festivities with a programme and prize-giviDg last night. On Sunday the hall presented a pleasing picture*, berng specially decorated for tho occasion. Animated youth occupiod tho platform both afternoon and night. The speciai sacred service ' ' i. outh at the Orossroads, ' ' was reverently acted before an appreciative audience. The demonstration of action songs, vocal items and elocutionary rtems Arero also executed with an abandonment which deiighted those who Avitnessed the efforts of the children. Tlie prizes were presented by Adjutaut Onristopher, who conducted the whole series of meetings. The following children received awards for -attendance, conduct and lessons: Joan Dilworth, Jean Dilwurth, Aiolly Dilworth, Charles Edmonds, Ernest Edmonds, Leslie Edmonds, Ivy Edmonds, Joan Griffiths, Dawn Marshall, Betty Price, Harry l'rice, Allon Price, Leslie Herbert, Frank Herbert, E. Herbert. Adjutant Christopher takes this opportunity of thanking the jiarents arnl friends who co-operated in making tho a-nniversary a success.
