Otane School Attendance Affected

OTANE, Last Night. The attendance at the Otane School has been considerably affected during the last two weeks by cases of chicken^ pox, reported the headmaster, Mr Trevena, at the monthly meeting of the sehool committee, over which Mr Black presided. The average attendance for tlie month was stated to have been 150, the roll nuinber be'.ng 171. The headmaster, who severs his connection with the school at the end of the week, again expressed thanks to the committee, and especially the chairman and secretarv, Mr Williams, for their many courtesies during his six years at the school. . At the conclusiou of tho meeting a social liour was held, when the committee members took the opportunity to bid farewell to Mr Trevena.
