Sir Apirana Ngata io Deliver Address At the next meeting of the Hastings Historical Society, to be held in the Methodist Hall, opposite the Municipa] Theatre; next Monday night at 8 o'clock, tbe society has been fortunate in obtaining the 'services as the speaker for the evening of the distinguished Maori politician, scholar and orator, Sir Apirana T. Ngata, M.A., LL.B., M.P. Sir Apirana Ngata needs no introduction to any section of the New Zealand community as his notahle career is already a definite landmark in the history of the country. A man of forceful personality and with a keen and well developed intellect, he possesses a

bewildering mastery of words in both Mauri and' Ifinglish. j It is not often that - Sir Apirana ' Ngata is heard outside the House, and the historical society ia fortunate in being able to have him appear in Hastings, and the publio of Hastings is sure to make use of this opportunity of hearing such an eminent scholar. Hi3 lecture for the evening is entitled ''Ngati-Kahungunu Origins.'' These meetings are not confined to members only. Any person interested is at full liberty to attend and the society is only too pleased to welcome them.
