Following are the result of the first aifi examination recently conducted by tho Hastings branch of the New Zealand Red Cross Society. In the written, oral and practical work of the candidates. the examiner, Dr. Romaine Wright, was satisfied that a good standard of worli had been reached, particularly so in the case of Miss Enid Grantham, a first year caudidate, who | obtained the excellent percentage of '95, and who will consequently be awarded the W. Barton Hobbs Gliallem'e Cup. First year (lionours), Misscs Enid Grantham 95 per cent., Aux Rochfort and Jean McLean 83 per cent., Margaret Epps 80 per cent. First year (pass), Misses Joyce Hennah 79 per cent.. Helen Rush and Elsif Fulford 78 per cent., Iris Spence and Florence^ Dudfield 75 per cent., Peace Preston- Thomas and Maria Mitchell, 6'. per cent., Lettice Hunter 62 per eent. Second year (pass), Misses Sybil Tv ers and Linda Farmer 75 per eent.. Jrma Waro 71 per eent,, Mrs Margaret Rohson 65 per eent, and Miss Yietoria Seollay 63 per eent, Third year (honours), Miss Margaret Rae 90 per eent. Third year (pass). Mrs Jean Carberrv 73 per cent. and Miss Helen Gibbs 72 per cent. The successful candidates will be presented with appropriate. eertifieates and medallions at a social function to be held later |a the year.
