AUSTRALIA SURPRISED
No Tour by All Black's Ne*t Year • (Received 28, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 27. Following the announcement from New Zealand that the Rugby Union is not sending a team to Australia next year, which caused surprise and disappointment here, it is stated to-day that the New South Wales Union has a written agreement with the New Zealand Union committing the latter to sending a team next year. Whether the N.S.W. union will press forobservance of the agreement will depend on the reasons advanced foy the cancellation. Mr. J. Noseda, seeretary, said; "We are all very disappointed. Maybe the New Zealand union has very good rea--sons for its action. On the other hand, if the New Zealand tour must be put off until 1939, it will have to be early in that year, as an Australian team for abroad must be selected before the end of June.','
