IVORY SATIN WORN BY NAPIER BRIDE

BLOORE — GOODMAN St. Patrick's Church, Napier, was beautifully decorated with arum lilies^ roses aud lilac on Satu.rday morning for the wedding of Frances Josephine, daughter of Mr aud Mrs F. H. Goodman, of Stopford street, Napier, and Geoffrey George, son of Mr and MrB J, G. Bloore, of Whyte street, Hamilton. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a lovely gown of ivory satin falling gracefully to form a long train and from a'halo of' white gardenias her veil of beautiful lace formed a second train. White velvet shoes were worn and she carried ' a sheaf of lilies of the valley and white roses. . . The bridesmaid^ Miss Mary Chambers, wore a model frock of white etift'ened nct over heavy ivory taffeta^ front laced with turquoise blue velvet ribbon, which also flnished her halo of white nct. Her bouquet was composed of pastel flowers. The duties of best man wore carried out by Mr Alan Bloore. Pean Holley officiated at the ceremond, nuptial mass being .celebrated, Miss Scott presided at.the organ, and duriug the service " Ave Maria ' ; was sung by Master Noel Mahon. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Silver Slipper, where Mr and Mrs Goodman received their guests, the latter wearing a model ensemble of black and white georgette with a black picture hat and her posy of flowers was in autumn tonings, Mrs Bloore, mother . of the bridegroom, wore a costume of navy blue silk with a picture hat of navy and white and she carried a posy of blue flowers. Flowers in lovely shades of blue decorated the bride 'e table and the wedding cake was beautifully ice.d in cream and silver. When leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent touring the North Island^ the bride travelled in a smart ensemble of amber marocain with a floral tunie and a brown halo hat. A skunk stole was also worn, this being a gift of tho bridegroom. Among those present wore: Mrs Primrose, grandmother, of the bridegroom, woaring a black ensemble and white posy; Mr and Mrs and Miss Staff, Mr and Mrs E. Chapmfln, Mrs and Miss Byrne (Puketapu), Mrs Bourgeois, Mr and Mrs Marsden, Mrs and Misses Fitzgibbon (2)^ Mr F. Blooio (Hamilton), Misses Foster, Morrow, Maudo, Chapman, Robinson and Lawton (all of Gisborne).
