TOMOANANUI WHAREMAKO

AUCKLAND, This Day. The death occurred at Huntly on Sunday of Tomoananui Hone Wharemako, a chief of the Hawke's Bay tribe tlie Ngati-Kabungunu, at the age of 68. Deceased was a direct descendant of the first king produced by the King uiovement, Te "Wherowliero. Tomoananui Wharemako married a Waikato cbieftainess and lived at Huntly for many years before his death. He is survived by his widow, two sons and a daughter. It is expected that at th^ tangi there will be a large gathering of Maoris from Hawke's Bay and tlie surrounding districts.
