CAR RUNS OFF ROAD

Mishap ai Paraparaumu Mrs, Hornsy, of Wellington, a daughter of Mr. D. S. McLeod, of Havelock North, was thrown through the windscreen when a motor-car travelling northward from Wellington ran off the road at about 3 a.m. on Saturday when negotiating the main highway corner opposite the gates of the Paraparaumu Domain. Mrs. Hornsy, who was a passenger in the car, was badly cut about the face and had her collarbone fractured. She was attended to by Dr. D. O. Paterson, of Paraparaumu, and removed to hospital. She is now reported to be progressing favourably. The other passengers in the car, Mr. McLeod's grand-daughter and son-in law and Misa Ida McLeod, escaped injury.
