(Received 23, 10.50 a.m.) SALAMANCA, Oct. 22. The insurgents, pressing on after taking Gijon, captured Aviles, to where many Republicans have fled. The only northern centre where Government troops are offering resistanco is the mining area between Oviedo ^ and Pajares, where the miners are expected to continue fighting. The insurgents have captured 24 Russian tanks, many flarao-throwers, mueh ammunition and a few aeroplanes, and have released 2000 political prisoners.
