Indoor-Bowls for Pukeora Sanatorium

J. H.

HINDMAN,

Sir, — For some time past a team of indoor-bowlers from the N.Z. I.O.O.F. Lodge have visited Pukeora Sanatorium every Friday evening to play teams picked from the patients at that institution, and many happy hours have been spent, judging by the enthusiasin displayed. The effort is worthwhile, and must act like a tonic to the patients, both players and non-players. With the object in view of presenting the' Sanatorium with a mai and set of indoor bowls, costing £17 10/-, a subscription list has been opened, and several amounts have already been donated. 1 would appeal to your readers to help this worthy eause, and trust that at an early date it will be possible to attain the desired objective. All amounts forwarded to me will be duly acknowledged : — ^Yours, etc.,

c/o. Wines and Spirit Co., Ltd. Waipukurau. Waipukurau, October 22, 1937.
