WELLINGTON, Last Night Approxhnately one-third of the uma* ber of applications under the Mort* gagors' and Lessees' Rehabilitatiot Act had heen disposed of by Septembet 80, said the Minister of Justice, Hon, H. G, R. Mason, to-day. Practicaily half the WeUington applications had been dealt with. In Palmerston North the urban commission had completed afl. the cases, The Dunedin urban com» mission had almost completed its worlc* It was typical of ths people of Dunedin that in more than 50 per cent. of the cas'es the parties came to a voluntarjr agreement. "The Government recognises that in some eases farmers whose applications ^ for adjustment have not yet been de~lt with by an adjustment commission might experience difficulty, owing te the restrietions placed by the Act on applicants in obtaining credit or ad4 vances to enablo them to purchase manures and other seasohal requirements," said Mr. Mason. Any farmei: applicant experiencing difficulty in the above respect should not hesitate toi ^ arrange for the matter to be brought before the Adjustment Commission st the eaTliest possible moment.
