LADY CRICKETERS AND HARRIERS HOLD COMBINED BALL

Very colourful were the decorationa of the Foresters ' Hall, Napier, last evening when the club coloura of the Lady Cricheters, royal blue aud white, were intermingled with gold and blach, tlie Napier Harriers' colours, for their combined ball, which was a great suecess. Huudreds of streamers adorned the ceiling, where the large centre lights were lattice-shaded iu blue and white, and here also were h:ige clusters of balloonsj giving au estra. festive touch to a most attractive colour scheme. A sit-down supper was served upstairs where the tables were gay with bright Iceland poppies and foliage. Masses of fern and foliage decorated the stage where the Arcadians ' pldyed melodious danee music nntil the early hours of the morning, the many dancera present spending a happy time. The following committee was responsible for the excellent arrangements. Messrs A. Angus (seeretary), I>. Martin, Bilyard (2) and Reid. The splendid supper arrangement a wore carried out by Mesdames J. Roberts, A. Reid, Misses J. Knight, B, Laurence, J. Farquhar, M. Smith; Jorgensen (2), R. Jones, E. Whalberg and M. Tringham. ,
