EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF A.-A. CATTLE
An excellent display that was well worthy of the breed was the opinion of Mr. J. W. Ellingham, of Ormondville, who judged the .Aberdeen Angus section. The female classes, Mr. Ellingham considered, were outstanding. Among heifers there was a poor quality entry. The section in general showed good breeding from the point of vi-ew of chillers. The splendid entries and the splendid way that they were brought out was a proof of the popularity of the breed and its good standing among raisers of beef cattle. Mr. Ellingham considered that in the younger classes the heifers were rather . better than the bulls. The top bulls he regarded as being very good but they ran off a little more than the females. "The judging this year was complicated by the entries of recently imported cattle from America and it remains to be seen just how they will breed," commented Mr. Ellingham. "The display was- certainly not lacking in quality and, as for the yearling heifers, they were a beautiful lot."
