CAMPING
So that we can be sure of our Scouts getting the very best of training when in a Scout camp we are going to keep, in future", to the rules as laid down for Scout ca,mps. So that all Scouts will know what these are I am going to put thern in this Scout column: — 1. No Scouts may cainp as Scouts without the permission of the District Commissioner, either for week-end oi longer. 2. Cubs and Scouts are not to camp together, and in Cub camps special cooking arrangements are necessary as it must not be left to the Cubs, as it is to Scouts. 3. The Scoutmaster in charge must have the Camper's Badge; if it is a patrol camp, the patrol leader must have the Scout Camper's Badge. 4. A camp programme should be arranged before going to camp and should be kept to as far as is possible. This programme is to cover the aetivities as well as the meals. When Cubs are going to camp the following rules also apply:— 5. Some form of clean, permanent shelter, or a weatherproof marquee, large enough to accommodate all the Cubs in camp in case of wet weather, must available. 6. There should be at least one adult to every six Cubs in camp. In no circumstances should a camp be held with less than two adults.
