(Received 20, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 19. Their Majesties, heginnitig their tour of Yorkshire, arrived at Hull, where they received a gre.it welcome. Aftor lunching .jt Guildhall, they left for Ybrk, where they were met by the Princess Royal and Lord Harewood, who is Lord Lieutenant of West Riding. A large crowd gave their Maj"esti an_ enthusiastic welcome. After a vjsit to a factory, where they saw the different processes in the manufacture of chocolates, their Majesties had tea with the Lord Mayor at Mansiom House and subsequently left for Harewood House, where they are staying the night. Two other royal visits began to-dny. The streets of Devonport were lined with cheering people when tbe Duke and Duchess of Gloucester arrived after their tour of Corilwall and Devon. Luncheon at the AdmiraJty House was given by the Commander-in-Ohief. Afterwards the Duchess launched the 5300-tons cruiser Gloucester. The Duchess will later open an extension to the maternity nurses' homes. To-morrow the Duke will lay the foundation stone of the library block at the University College, Exeter. The Duke and Duchess of Kent began a two-days tour of south Wales by visiting. Carmarthen. The Duke laid the foundation stone for the extensions to Trinity College, and the Duchess opened a new wing, comprising maternity and general wardSj to tho cOunty infirmary. They later reached Swansea, where the Duke was instaljed as Chancellor of the University of Wales. The Duke will proceed on Thursday to Blackpool, where he will name the new motor-lifeboat of the National Lifeboat Institution, of which he is the president.
