Following a series of conferences bctween representatives of the Auckland City Council and the Auckland Trar.sport Board concerning the question of the future lieensing and control of taxi-rahs iii the Auckland area, an arrangement was reached yesterdav by Which tlie Transport Board wili be•ome the -netrorinlitan lieensing auth•rity and the City Council will be fully responsible for enfovcemCnt uuder the proposed amending legislation to hrlng this class of 'transport under the provisions of tho Transport Lieensing Sbct4 1931. "
