Hastings Chamber Aids With Legal Costs . "Auything that will bring the people to the districfc is all.to the good," said 31r Hugh W. C. Baird, president of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce, last evening, when the meeting conlirmed tho actiou of the committee iu i'orwarding £1 1/- to the Commissioner of Crown Lands as a contribution towards the legal costs involved iu taking over the proposed Clii'tou' Domain. "It is a worthy object," he added, but regretted that it had been neeessary to make appeals to local organisations in the manner that had been followed. I Mr A. C. A.
