£455 Reqnired for Hastings Project CAMPAIGN FOR FUND £455 is requird 1 to enal/e the Be* Scouts of Hastings and the surrounding districts to provide a central meeting place and the facilities required for scouting. At a special conferenco of those interested in the provision of such a huilding held last evening it was decided that a definite effort b« made to raise this amount. Estimates wero placed before those present by the architect, Mr E. Phillips. and also by the contractor, Mr H. Abbott, and they stated that £625 was required to complete the work. It was reported that there was just over £100 in hand and promises had been received for a further £70 in cash and materials for the job, leaving approximately £450 outstanding. After a full and iengthy discussioa. it was decided to set up a special combined. committee comprising xepresentatives of tlie Hastings ltotary Club and the Boy Scouts Area Committee, with Mr J. J. Hall as sscrefc.try, to further the campaign to aise the necessary funds for the complefcion of tfit project.
