Miss J. Black is relieving at the Wairoa School till the end of the school year. Miss E. 1. Harvey, matron of the Wairoa Hospital. is spending her leave in the Wairarapa district. Mr A. E. Telfer, Auckland, has been appointed to take the place of Mr A. Mudgway at tho Wairoa School. Mr F. A. Lowe, who has lpeen postraaster at Wairoa for nearly six years, has been appointed postmaster at Dannevirke. Mr Ivan Renner leaves Waipukurau shortly to take up an appointmejit in Masterton. Mr Douglas Algie, who until last week was a member of the staff of Messrs Mason and Paton, Waipukurau, h.as left to take up a new appointment at Palmerston North. Mr H. M. Christie, M.P., left Waipukurau yesterday morning for Wellington. Mr and Mrs'Fred Carnie and Miss Zylpha Carnie have returned to Ormondville afler spending several weeks' holiday with relativeS in Auckland and Wellington. Mr A. C.'Ruissell (chairman) and Mr G. E. Fowler (secretary-manager) of the Central Hawke's Bay Power Boardt have returned. to Waipukurau after attending the conference of electric power boarde and supply authorities in W ellington.
