YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB
Meeting at Takapau The monthly meeting of the Takapau Youn3 Farmers' Club was presided -over by Mr Fred Fox. Thero was a. fair attendance with Mr G. S. White as representativo froiu tho Farmers' IJion. Mr W. J. Palmer, Department of Agriculture instructor, gave an outline }f the judging competition to tako place at the Eoyal Show at Palmerston North in November to select represeptatives from the Young Farmers' Clubs in New Zealand to visit the Melbourne A. and P. Show and other shows in Austfalia. It was decided to send Mr Alister C. Campbell to the*Royal Show. It was agreed to hold a special meeting of the Young Farmers' Club at an early date to stimulate and revive interest in the club, when all young men under 25 years of age will be made welcome. Mr W. J. Palmer gave a discourse on mole-draining with lantern slides which was very instructive and interesting. The chairman extended a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker for his useful address. 1
