WORLD WONDERS AT SHOW

Mr. Arthur Greenhalgh, the much travelled and front-rank showman, Is again in Hawke 's Bay after an extensive tour of the world in quest of wonders for show purposes. He has brought with him Princess Pontues, the Arnazon giantess, and several other attractions. The giant Amazonian is the last of that famous tribe of head hunters from Brazil, South America, and she is 8 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 48 stone. The princess will be on exhibition at the Hastings Show, commencing Wecnesday, October 20, and she has a store of entertainment for those who will see her. She talk3 interestingly of hei experiences among the tribes of Amazons. An added attraction in tho same marquee is Isom, the smallest pigmy from South Africa. His programme includes eating fire, walking on jagged pieces of glass and other sensational feats. Another of Mr. Greenhalgh 's novelty attractiong is "Dollita," claimed to be America 's smallest woman. The little lady is a miniature of Mae We6t from Hollywood. She has a charming personality. "Dollita" has just fulfilled her special engagements in Australia, and arrived in New Zealand to-day. Ainongst the new attractions presented by Greenhalgh and Jackson at the show will be Marjoria Van Camp and her wonderful trained pigs. The pigs will be seen in an interesting ar» ray of tricks featuring a two-round bout in a miniature ring by "Dempsey" and "Tunny," champion pig fighters. . This famous American lady . pig-txainer is showing here for the first time, having just arrived from Austra- ' lia. " Another famous Greenhalgh and Jackson feature attraction is tlie sensa-r tional American skaters, Rex and Roma RofP, 1936 Olympic champions, who are sure to prove oue of the highlights of this year's show.
